Who can make an appointment?

AARP Foundation Tax-Aide is a free tax counseling and preparation service, helping low and middle-income taxpayers, with special attention to those ages 60 and older.  Bay Shore School District residents can begin making appointments on Monday, January 12 at 9:30 AM.  Everyone else can begin making appointments on Monday, January 26 at 9:30 AM. 

Appointments:

  • The tax appointments will be on Thursdays beginning February 5 through April 9 between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM.  
  • Call the circulation desk or stop in to make an appointment. You must come in to the library prior to your appointment to obtain an intake packet and appointment checklist. The packet must be completed and submitted to your tax preparer at your scheduled appointment.  Intake packets and appointment checklists can also be downloaded here:
