Pablo Picasso was a Spanish artist who spent most of his adult life in France. Painting since the young age of seven, he is known for being a sculptor, printmaker, ceramicist, and theater designer. His extensive career covers a variety of art styles including Realism, Surrealism, Cubism and African Art and Primitivism, just to name a few. He was one of the co-founders of the Cubist movement and one of the leaders of Modern Art. He is probably most famous for his Blue Period in which he painted sad subjects in shades of blue and green.
