Vincent Van Gogh was a Dutch Post-Impressionist painter who lived during the 19th century. He mostly painted landscapes, still lifes, portraits and self-portraits. He is known for his bold use of color in his paintings. His most famous painting is called “Starry Night”. Although many of his paintings are now worth millions of dollars, Vincent Van Gogh died penniless and only sold one painting during his lifetime.
